A military family of the Bright Republic. Due to constant wars , the number of Larkinsons never grew more than a thousand . A large portion of the Larkinsons are widows to mech pilots or children.
Among the members of the Larkinson family, only half possess the genetic aptitude to be mech pilots. This leads the family to focus and invest more in training and raising those with good genetic aptitude to the detriment of those that failed the test.
Since early age, Larkinson's that possess the genetic aptitude were put under severe and strict training resulting in many skilled pilot to emerging from the family
The Family started to fracture when Ves Larkinson became a successful mech designer and his business became successful in turn. The fractures grew wider when Ves Larkinson and Gloriana Wodin started dating, culminating in Bright Republic's and Ghanso Larkinson's betrayal and capture of Ves Larkinson. The Larkinson family split in the end as a result of it the current family is divided into three parts.

Their ancestor was an Ace Level pilot.
There were three Expert Level pilots in the Family at the start of Mech Touch.
One of them is Ves' uncle Ark.The other two are the brothers Benjamin and Ovrin but they are disabled.
The Larkinson Family are descendants of an mercenary that broke away from the New Rubarth Empire.
The family was kicked out of there home Bright Republic so they moved to the Garlener Empire but where not able to make a home there they may wish to move to the Red ocean soon. Ark is also nearing the point of become an ace pilot but much of the family still dose not want to join Ves.
